10 selected startups will join eight workshops with industry experts, extensive mentor’s sessions and will showcase their projects to over 200 potential clients and investors
IQS Tech Factory, the center for entrepreneurship of IQS, launches IQS Next Tech, the first equity-free acceleration program for industrial and science-based startups in Barcelona starting in June 2017.
IQS Next Tech is looking for entrepreneurial projects that belong to the sectors of advanced industrial techniques, automatization and motor solutions, energy and environment, food, new materials, life sciences or chemistry, and that are claiming to change the field of science. The acceleration program will include eight workshops related to different stages of technology development and tailored assessment sessions with expert mentors from diverse backgrounds. At the end of the acceleration period, startups will have the opportunity to present their innovative technologies to over 200 potential clients and investors in IQS Next Tech’s Demo Day on July 2017.
IQS Next Tech, the next generation of industrial startups
IQS Next Tech accelerator program will kick start with a launch event on 7st June in Barcelona. The 10 selected startups will be announced and will start their way towards the six-week intense program filled with personalized workshops, mentoring and network events. The program will end with the Demo Day show led by keynote speakers and the 10 startups presenting their technologies and well molded business plans on the 20th of July.
IQS Tech Factory, the boosting industrial entrepreneurship
IQS Tech Factory, the center for entrepreneurship of IQS, was born in 2015 as the first industrial incubator in Spain. Since its inception, the organization works with the aim to contribute to industrial development by turning disruptive technologies into business opportunities. The center offers support at different stages of a startup’s development related to business model definition, access to public and private funding, growth strategy, connection to industry, besides one-on-one mentor sessions.
IQS Tech Factory is an equity free incubator, which currently supports 21 startups both from within the university and outside. During 2016, the startups created 110 jobs and already mobilized 12,4 million euros
