IQS Next Tech,the industrial accelerator, organizes its launch event

The acceleration program, launched by IQS Tech Factory, will announce the 10 selected startups on June 7th in Barcelona

IQS Next Tech, the first industrial acceleration program in Spain will kick-start with a launch event on June 7th in Barcelona.

The kick-off event, which will take place at IQS, will introduce the program and announce the 10 selected science-based startups. From 12th of June until 20th of July participants will accelerate their projects in a six-week intensive program and be eligible to get direct access to Boston to participate in Richi Social Entrepreneurs immersion program - an initiative by the Richi Foundation.

The acceleration will consist of 11 sessions led by experts in industry and based on different phases of a startup’s development – fundraising, business modeling, go to market, among others.

During the launch event of IQS Next Tech, attendees will also have the opportunity to discover the newest technologies and meet the reference mentors, who will advise them during the six week-program. The mentors team will consist of: Isabel Amat, Business Development Manager at Reig Jofre; Patricia Layola, Investment Manager at Victoria Venture Capital; Ramon Mira, Managing Director at Provital Cocoon; Jesús Santamaria, Business Director at Lubrizol; Enrique Shadah, Head of Strategic Relationships at MIT; Daniel Romy, Investment Director at Media Digital Ventures; Xavier Servat, Managing Director at Fluidra Accelera; Diego Fernández, Managing Director at Upcelerator Ogilvy; Ignasi Tribó, co-founder of Liga Profesional de Videojuegos; Roberto Camarero, Technical Leader in Zobele; Ian Collingwood, CEO and co-founder of Pollen; Sam Friend, co-founder of Roc 23 Labs; Edouard Rozan, Managing Director at OnBoard Ventures (Ficosa-Idneo); Marta Príncep, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Director at Bellavista Legal and Ricard Abadias, Co-founder and CEO at Press & Reset.

Finally, the kick-off event will close with a networking session, where entrepreneurs, mentors and attendees may begin to establish the first synergies.

IQS Next Tech will close its first edition with a Demo Day on July 20th in Barcelona. A jury formed of experts in industry and entrepreneurship will be in charge of selecting one startup that will travel to Boston to participate in the immersion program by Richi Social Entrepreneurs.
